Janelle is a thoughtful and tenacious advocate with experience across government, BigLaw, and the federal judiciary. She represents clients in complex civil litigation, white-collar enforcement actions, government investigations, and high-stakes class actions.

From a young age, Janelle had a strong sense of fairness—her commitment to justice was sparked in elementary school, right around the time she developed a serious distaste for line cutters. That clarity of right and wrong eventually led her to the law.

Janelle began her legal career at a prominent national law firm, where she represented Fortune 500 companies and executives in consumer class actions and securities litigation. She later served in the federal government, investigating and litigating civil rights violations by state governments.

Drawn to KMS for its mission-driven work and dynamic team, Janelle brings her big-firm training and government experience to clients facing complex, high-pressure matters. She’s a quick study, a strategic thinker, and someone who knows how to handle tough cases with care and clarity—especially when the stakes are high and there’s no room for error.

Originally from Kentucky, Janelle has called D.C. home for nearly a decade. Outside the office, she can usually be found on the soccer pitch, cheering on women’s matches, trying out new recipes, or hanging with her husband and their rescue dog.
