Addy is a litigator who focuses her practice on representing individuals, corporations, and organizations in criminal government investigations, prosecutions, and regulatory and enforcement proceedings. She also represents these clients in commercial litigation, arbitrations, congressional investigations, and internal investigations. 

Addy thrives on fighting for her clients. Growing up, Addy was the kid who would put herself between the kid being bullied and the bully. She still proudly roots for the underdog. Addy brings her tenacity and passion, in addition to her skills and experience, to every client’s case. 

Addy has spent her career and built her life in Washington, DC. After law school, she worked for a large law firm and then clerked on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Following her clerkship, Addy served in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, before joining the law firm Miller & Chevalier and focusing her practice on white collar criminal defense. Prior to joining Kropf Moseley Schmitt, Addy was the managing partner of the DC office of a boutique litigation firm headquartered in New York City.

Addy’s extensive experience and her record for results have been recognized in Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, The Best Lawyers in America, Lawdragon—where she was selected as one of the 500 Leading Litigators in America in 2024—Legal 500, and Super Lawyers. Addy also devotes significant time to her pro bono practice and to several leadership roles in the legal community, including as a member of the executive committee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. 

Addy has lived in Washington, DC for over 30 years. She is proud to have raised two daughters as native Washingtonians. She is an avid fan of the Washington Nationals, the rule of law, and dogs—especially rescues.

  • Defended a principal of a government contractor charged with bribing a government official to obtain contracts
  • Defended an individual charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice in one of Maryland’s largest federal fraud prosecutions

  • Represented several current and former employees of global manufacturing company in criminal investigation into violations of federal environmental laws
  • Represented several current and former employees of nonprofit organization in criminal investigation into fraud and violations of campaign finance laws
