Sara Kropf is an experienced trial lawyer who defends both individuals and companies. Before starting her firm, she was a partner in the Washington, DC office of Baker Botts LLP, where she represented both public and private companies as well as individuals. Her clients are often accused of serious wrongdoing, such as fraud or conspiracy, and many are targeted by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Some of Sara's friends make fun of her because she "loves the law." They are right. Sara knows that her enthusiasm for this profession serves her clients well. That's all that matters.

Sara has represented clients in a broad array of criminal cases including those involving securities and accounting fraud, public corruption, Medicare kickbacks, and RICO claims. She has represented several federal government employees in Office of Inspector General (OIG) investigations.

On the civil side, she has handled complex civil litigation for clients in a wide variety of industries including energy, health care, insurance and financial services. Her trial experience has run the gamut from smaller state-court cases to multi-week federal trials. She has also handled several appeals in the federal courts of appeal.

In Sara's real life, she wrangles two lovely and rowdy sons and manages to sneak in a little time biking, reading and cheering on the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Ravens.
